Inside Jennifer Aniston And Brad Pitts Relationship Today

Brad Pitt’s appearance this past weekend at ex-wife Jennifer Aniston’s 50th birthday party shocked fans, but insiders say it made perfect sense. After divorcing more than a decade ago, the former couple now has “a very civil relationship,” and this why Pitt scored an invitation.

Aniston’s birthday bash at Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles this past weekend was filled with her famous friends. The guest list included George and Amal Clooney, Kate Hudson, Robert Downey Jr., Reese Witherspoon, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Her Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow were also at the party.

“The important people in her life gathered to celebrate with her,” says an insider. “Brad fits into that group, and it was natural that he would want to come.”

Pitt didn’t stay late, but he did briefly talk to his ex and gave her a hug. However, she was busy making sure her guests were enjoying the party.

According to People Magazine, Pitt also sent Aniston a present just like the rest of the party guests. The insider says that the Dumplin’ star’s pals are all “very generous and creative,” and she was excited about all of the gifts she received.

The source added that Aniston’s friends were happy to see Pitt show up to the party because the two spent some important, happy years together. And, he joined his ex-wife’s celebration “because he wanted to,” and what caused their divorce is “long in the past.”

Pitt wasn’t the only ex that sent Aniston some love for her birthday. Justin Theroux posted a black-and-white pic of Aniston and a special message on Instagram on February 11th – Aniston’s birthday – calling his ex-wife a “fierce woman” who is loving, kind, and funny.

Aniston and Pitt split in 2005 after four years of marriage, and the assumption is the marriage ended because he met and fell in love with Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. But, after a 12-year relationship, a two-year marriage, and six kids, Brad Pitt and Jolie split in 2016, and they are still in the middle of a nasty divorce and custody battle.
