After the Boston Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks in Game 6 to advance to the NBA's Eastern Conference Seminals, the leader for one of the most storied franchises in the sport, Jayson Tatum, sent a heartfelt apology to a legend for changing her plans.

Boston was expected to win the series in Game 5, but a stellar performance by Trae Young, which included a game winning three point shot as time expired forced the series to travel back to Atlanta, with State Farm Arena also having booked Janet Jackson, on the same night Game 6 was supposed to be played, prompting the venue to move Jackson's concert to Friday night.

"I want to say an apology to the legend Janet Jackson. We were supposed to close out in Boston and she had to postpone her show. I hope she sees this. I apologize for that."

The Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers will battle it out

The Boston Celtics were among the favorites to take the NBA championship at the end of season, throughout the whole year but a shaky First Round against the Hawks have many believing that the Philadelphia 76ers might be able to finally beat them and reach the Eastern Conference Finals.

This series starts on Monday May 1st, with the first game at the TD Garden in Boston, home of the Celtics.
