Olivia Newton-John shared an update on how she is feeling amid her cancer battle. She also discussed a charity that is close to her heart.

As the singer continues to fight for her life, she is still keeping a positive attitude and giving back to others. Newton-John spoke to People magazine regarding her state of mind on the set of a PSA for her new charity.

“I’m doing well. I’m thriving! This is my word,” the 70-year-old expressed to the magazine.

She also discussed her involvement with Dancers Against Cancer, which raises funds for dance educators, choreographers, dancers, and their families who have been impacted by cancer. The actress is currently filming a PSA for the organization with other females’ battling cancer.

It has become a passion project for Newton-John. She has spent her life in the performing arts world, and the past couple of decades fighting cancer. The blonde beauty is thrilled to be combining both topics she knows first-hand into something positive.

“The dance performing community means a lot to me. I’ve always loved dancers and wished that I’d learnt when I was young. I used to do creative dance, but I never really learned it until I had to dance with Gene Kelly and John Travolta. Lucky me, I got to do Dancing with the Stars long before it was a show,” she further shared with People.

The Grease star was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. She underwent partial mastectomy, nine months of chemotherapy, and breast reconstruction to battle the disease.

Newton-John spent decades in remission before revealing in 2017 that she’d been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Sadly, it spread to her back, and since then, the actress has been fighting for her life.

Over the past couple of years, there have been constant inaccurate reports of the singer’s illness. Thankfully she is doing just fine today, despite her circumstances.

Olivia Newton-John is living life to its fullest with a positive attitude. She is not only thriving as she fights cancer but is now working to help others suffering from the disease.
