Tekashi 6ix9ine Faces Sentencing Next Month In Racketeering Case

According to a report from Page Six, Tekashi 6ix9ine will learn how much his cooperation with government officials will pay off when he comes back to court on the 18th of December for sentencing.

Previously, the rapper was looking at 47-years in prison, however, due to the fact he sang to the feds, Mr. Daniel Hernandez – also known as Tekashi 6ix9ine – will most definitely see a reduced sentence.

As it was previously reported, the 23-year-old Gummo artist spoke with authorities for three days back in September regarding the function of the gang he was involved in, the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The rapper stated that he used his affiliation with them to promote his brand.

Mr. Hernandez’s information to the federal authorities led to the conviction of his former associates and Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members, Aljermiah Mack and Anthony Ellison. Daniel’s decision to rat them out to the authorities led to vicious scorn from the hip-hop community.

According to Page Six, if Daniel Hernandez wants more time off of his sentence, the prosecutors have to file a 5K1 letter, which states that Tekashi 6ix9ine was a stellar witness and cooperator with them, and therefore, deserves a much better sentence.

Furthermore, prosecutors have stated that the rapper will undoubtedly have to enter the witness protection program. His attornies have declined to say whether he would do so or not. Earlier this year, Tekashi revealed during his trial that he told police what they wanted to hear just one day after they arrested him in November of 2018.

Tekashi 6ix9ine pled guilty to several crimes, including racketeering. Tekashi 6ix9ine’s rise came as fast as his fall, following his ascent into popularity through his social media marketing tactics, or as he likes to call it, “trolling.”
